Neutronium: Parallel Wars Kickstarter Preview: Launch Q3-Q4 2026
Neutronium: Parallel Wars has been in development for 25 years. It is not a prototype with a vision statement. It is a finished game — or very nearly one — that needs a production run. The Kickstarter campaign funds manufacturing, not design. The design already exists.
The Campaign Overview
The Kickstarter campaign for Neutronium: Parallel Wars launches in Q3-Q4 2026. Its goal is straightforward: fund the first production run of a game that is already designed, playtested through 12+ sessions across multiple player groups, and approximately 85-90% complete in terms of component design and rulebook finalization. This is not a campaign asking for faith in a concept. It is a campaign asking for the manufacturing budget to turn a near-complete prototype into a physical product.
The game supports 2 to 6 players and plays in 30 to 60 minutes depending on player count and universe cycle depth. It is rated for ages 7 and up — the core mechanics are accessible to younger players, while the strategic depth across 13 universe cycles satisfies experienced 4X board game audiences. The game has been tested with players ranging from first-time board gamers to experienced hobby players, and the rulebook is written to accommodate both.
The Kickstarter goal funds the production run, component manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment logistics. The campaign will not include stretch goals that expand the scope of the base game in ways that require additional design time — the design is done. Stretch goals fund production quality upgrades and language editions, not new mechanics or new cards. This distinction matters: it means backers are getting the game they see described here, not a version of the game that depends on unfinished work being completed after funding.
The game's 25-year development history means that every rule has been thought about more than once, every mechanic has survived multiple rounds of revision, and every component serves a purpose that has been validated through actual play. The risk profile for backers is as low as any crowdfunded board game can offer.
What's in the Box
Every copy of Neutronium: Parallel Wars — at every pledge tier — includes the complete base game component set. The Collector's and Designer's editions add upgraded materials and exclusive items, but the base game is not stripped down to make room for upgrades. What you see below is what every backer receives at minimum.
Pledge Tiers
Three pledge tiers are available. All include the complete base game. The higher tiers add upgraded components and exclusive items — they do not unlock additional gameplay content. The base game is the full game at every tier.
The complete Neutronium: Parallel Wars game with all standard components. Everything needed to play the full 2-6 player game across all 13 universe cycles. Manufactured to standard hobby board game quality. This is the game.
- Complete component set as listed above
- Full rulebook (final print edition)
- Standard quality hero miniatures
- Standard Nn token set
All Base Game contents plus upgraded component materials. The Collector's Edition is for players who want the tactile experience of the game to match its 25-year design investment. All upgrades are cosmetic quality improvements — no gameplay differences from the Base Game.
- Upgraded hero miniatures with detailed sculpts and separate bases
- Foil-finish treatment on all 44 Artifact cards
- Linen-embossed territory hex tiles
- Metallic-ink Nn token face printing
- Collector's Edition numbered box art variant
All Collector's Edition contents plus items documenting the game's history. Limited to a small print run. The Designer's Edition is for players and collectors who want to own the complete story of how Neutronium: Parallel Wars came to exist, not just the game itself.
- Signed copy (signed by designer Vladislav Tsaran)
- Development Notes booklet: 25-year design history, rejected mechanics, rulebook evolution
- Numbered prototype-era component set (select cards and tokens from playtest iterations)
- Certificate of edition number
- Exclusive Discord role: "Designer's Circle"
Stretch Goals
Stretch goals unlock when the campaign surpasses its base funding target. Every planned stretch goal is a production quality upgrade or an expansion of language and platform access — not new game mechanics that require additional design time. What we fund beyond the base goal goes into the physical object, not into changing what the game is.
- Language Packs: Russian, German, FrenchFull rulebook and card face translations for RU, DE, and FR. Each language unlocks as a separate goal tier. Translated editions ship simultaneously with the English edition.
- Metal Neutronium TokensReplace the standard Nn token set with die-cast metal coins in the same denominations. Upgrades all tiers automatically when this goal is reached.
- Digital Companion AppA companion app providing a rules reference, session timer, universe cycle tracker, and Nn calculation assistant. Available for iOS and Android. No gameplay is moved to the app — it supplements, not replaces, the physical experience.
- Expansion: Universe 14 (Solo Mode)A solo mode expansion adding Universe 14 — a single-player scenario that takes place after the 13-universe cycle concludes. Includes a new board overlay, solo opponent mechanics, and narrative resolution content for the game's lore. This expansion is fully designed and requires only manufacturing funding to produce.
Why Back Now
This is not a pitch built on FOMO. There are no artificially limited early bird tiers that expire in 48 hours and are quietly re-offered later. There are no manufactured urgency tactics. The honest case for backing Neutronium: Parallel Wars before the campaign launches is simpler than that: the game exists, it is good, and getting in before launch means you have had time to understand what it is before the campaign page's headline grabs your attention.
Twenty-five years of design history means that every rule, every mechanic, and every piece of lore has been through more revision cycles than most published board games receive in their entire lifespan. This is not a game assembled quickly to capitalize on a market trend. It is a game that has been slowly built toward a specific experience — a 4X strategy game that plays in 30 to 60 minutes, supports 2 to 6 players, and carries a narrative depth that extends across all 13 universe cycles without requiring players to commit to campaign play.
The pre-Kickstarter email list is where launch notification goes first. Discord members get the campaign link before it goes public. Neither of these require any commitment beyond interest. If the game looks like something you want to play, signing up is the easiest way to make sure you do not miss the window where pledge availability is unlimited and tier pricing is at its lowest.

Join the Waitlist → Join DiscordThe game is 85-90% complete. The Kickstarter funds manufacturing, not design completion. The rulebook exists in final draft. The components exist in prototype form. The risk profile for backers is determined by one question: can we produce this? The answer, with adequate funding, is yes. The design work is done.
