Neutronium: Parallel Wars Newsletter
The newsletter is the best way to follow Neutronium: Parallel Wars from where it is now — active playtesting, 25 years of design converging on a Kickstarter launch — to where it is going. Design updates, playtest session recaps, component reveals, and Kickstarter early-bird alerts: all delivered to your inbox 1–2 times per month.
What You'll Get
Every email in this list is written by the designer — there is no marketing team, no ghostwriter, no templated content. What you receive is a direct line to the development process of a game that has been in design for 25 years and is now in its final stretch before a Kickstarter campaign.
- Kickstarter Launch Alert: The most time-sensitive item in this newsletter. When the campaign goes live, subscribers receive the alert 24–48 hours before it is shared on social media or Discord. Day 1 early-bird slots are limited — this lead time is the difference between getting the discount tier and missing it.
- Bi-Monthly Design Updates: Direct notes from the design process. What changed since last time, what was tested, what failed, what worked. Written in plain language, no jargon — the kind of development transparency that most games only show in retrospective postmortems, delivered while the game is still being made.
- Playtesting Invitations: Berlin physical sessions and Tabletop Simulator digital sessions. Subscribers receive invitations before they are posted publicly. TTS sessions fill quickly — the newsletter lead time matters for getting a seat.
- Exclusive Pre-Launch Pricing Tier: A backer pricing tier that is only communicated via email, with a limited number of slots. Not available publicly on the Kickstarter page during the general campaign. Subscribers who act within the first 48 hours of the campaign going live access this tier before it closes.
The frequency is honest: 1–2 emails per month outside of the launch window. During the Kickstarter campaign itself — which is expected to run for approximately 30 days — the cadence increases to weekly, to keep backers informed of stretch goals, unlocks, and late-backer updates. After the campaign concludes, subscribers who opt in receive production and fulfillment updates.

Subscriber Perks
Subscribing is free. The perks below are automatic — no separate sign-up, no codes to enter. Being on the list is sufficient.
- Early Access to Rulebook PDF: Each version of the rulebook is sent to subscribers before it is posted publicly. As the rules evolve through playtesting, subscribers always have the current version.
- Priority Playtesting Slots: When new testing sessions open, subscriber-exclusive invitations go out first. Public posting happens only after subscriber slots are filled or 72 hours have passed.
- Behind-the-Scenes Design Notes: Some design decisions — the ones that involve dead ends, failed mechanics, and reversed directions — are only shared with the subscriber list. The public-facing content shows what works. Subscribers also see what did not.
- Kickstarter Early-Bird Tier: A discounted backing tier exclusive to subscribers, available in the first 48 hours of the campaign. Limited slots. First email, first served.
- Direct Access: Subscribers can reply to any newsletter email to reach the designer directly. All replies are read. Response time is typically 24–48 hours.
